Early-stage · Building with Primary Care

Every patient arrives with a story.
Saltus helps clinicians understand how they got here.

For family physicians preparing for chronic-disease follow-ups.

Saltus turns healthcare records into the context that matters today.

Problem

Healthcare records what happened.

For many patients, understanding why they're here today means piecing together notes, labs, referrals, and medications scattered across the chart.

9.9hrs/week

Spent weekly by Canadian family physicians on administrative work.

Interviews and research are underway to measure how much of that time goes specifically to piecing together a patient's story before a visit.

Solution

We help clinicians make better use of information that already exists.

What changed
What remains unresolved
Where the record disagrees
Why today's visit is happening

Nothing new to chart.
Nothing new to learn.

Saltus supports clinical review. It does not diagnose or recommend treatment.

Example

The longer the journey, the harder it is to see the whole picture.

A patient living with diabetes may have years of appointments, medication changes, and specialist visits behind them — and all of it matters to today's visit.

Fragmented records — notes (2019), labs (HbA1c), medications (Metformin), specialist reports (2022), and referrals (2024) — converge into one coherent patient's story. Saltus brings the patient's story into focus, shown as a continuous timeline from 2019 to today inside its own panel. That story leads to better preparation, then stronger continuity, then better decisions, shown together as one connected outcomes panel.

Vision

Helping healthcare remember.

Patients shouldn't have to start their story over.

Not another EMR. Not a scribe. Not another alert system. Clinical Memory — the same patient story, carried from one visit to the next.

About

Saltus is founded by Jane Natividad, a biomedical scientist by training who has spent her career piecing together the story behind the evidence — from disease mechanisms during her PhD, to clinical research and real-world evidence in industry, to healthcare innovation, product strategy, and market insight since.

That same pattern is what made her own experience as a patient impossible to ignore.

Saltus began after one too many doctor's appointments spent re-explaining her own story.
